Recent projects include:

  • Faciltating a workshop about health sector climate resilience for the Pan American Health Organization and Health Canada

  • Facilitating a process with Lake Ontario shoreline municipalities to understand the impacts of high water levels on behalf of the Great Lakes-St Lawrence River Adaptive Management Committee of the International Joint Commission

  • Facilitating a process to explore the mobilization of thermally comfortable playgrounds across North America under a changing climate

  • Facilitating the process to establish an Institute for Sustainable Brampton with partners, the Redesign Network, Dr. Sarah Burch & Dr. Jeff Wilson

  • Facilitated a planning summit for environmental not-for-profit representatives in Oakville on behalf of the Halton Climate Collective

  • Facilitated a strategic planning session for the Clean Air Partnership

  • Facilitated interactive roundtables to advance the implementation of Brampton’s Vision 2040

  • Facilitated a two-day Nordic City Summit with private and public sector partners in the City of Brampton

ENGAGEMENT

Recent projects include:

  • Leading the public engagement for Ontario’s first climate change impact assessment

  • Engaging stakeholders in Halton Region to explore a social enterprise model for deep energy home retrofits in partnership with the Halton Environmental Network

  • Co-leading a multidisciplinary team for the City of Kenora’s Sustainable Action Plan

  • Exploring the feasibility of an urban eco-farm with stakeholders in Halton Region with the Halton Environmental Network

  • Engaged stakeholders in a process to develop a national guide to integrate climate change adaptation into Canadian standards with Mantle 314

  • Co-managed and facilitated the process to develop Mississauga’s first Climate Change Action Plan in partnership with Dillon Consulting

  • Engaged over 2,000 residents in Halton on behalf of the Halton Climate Collective via online surveys, community charrettes, and

  • Collaborated with Stantec to engage municipal leaders in Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plans in York Region, Lakeshore and Town of the Blue Mountains

  • Engaged emergency management staff at the Canadian Red Cross in safety and well-being planning
